Amongst the outrageous Sfinks audience in the sweltering mud two small boys join in the fray. Goran Bregovic, the king of Balkan music, is playing a legendary concert at this festival. Kobe and Sander are only 11 and 12 years old, they don’t know each other, but the musical connection starts here.
In 2005 Sander changes his secondary school, where he meets Kobe. They are friends from day one, and share one passion: music. After a dj-set of Shantel at Hove Live in 2006, they start to collect Balkanbeats music.

16 november 2007, the birthday of two friends. Just for fun Kobe & Sander are playing some of their favorite records at the party. They don’t have any knowledge about mixing techniques, sound-quality or dj-ing at all, but they love it. A friend asks them to open Dunyatour, a Antwerp world-music party, and Tsiganisation Project is born!

Completely without a vision they start to build their way. Supported by other deejays and musicians they start to get known in Antwerp and around.
3 years later this two students barely can’t believe what they reached. They had the honour to close the mainstage of the festival where everything started (Sfinks Mixed) after their godfather, Goran Bregovic. They played at the biggest festivals of Belgium (Couleur Café, Polé Polé, Mano Mundo, Dranouter,…) and saw a lot of European cities

They describe it as one big dream. “we have the opportunity to travel around Europe by doing something that is even more stunning than sex. There’s no noise like a crowd-noise, no energy like party-energy and no life like a dj-life!”
